This week there were great achievements making national news in Criminal Justice Reform. President Obama banned solitary confinement for juveniles in the Federal Correction System. Additionally, the Charles Colson Task Force on Federal Corrections announced their recommendations to reduce the federal inmate count for non-violent offender which Attorney General Loretta Lynch praised as "important".

We'd say this progress is cause for praise and gratitude for all those working on behalf of Criminal Justice Reform. Well, we didn't hear much from the "From Jailer to Jailed" self-professed great reformer regarding these major triumphs. Kerik did a quick retweet of a fellow reformer but that was it.

Where was felon on probation Bernard Kerik while all this was going on in Washington DC? Well, Kerik was offering lip service to a near empty room with lunch at the Maryland State Senate for Jerry Madden and Michael Hough. We are not sure if felon Bernard Kerik or his dark money funneling non-profit, ACCJR.org, was paid or not for this short late-morning "appearance" but it didn't take long. The rest of the day, felon on probation, Bernie Kerik, was allowed by the United States Federal Probation Department to wander as a tourist in Annapolis, MD having fantasies about movies and crap like that with his "bestie", pro bono attorney Timmy Payne Parlatore.

Felon on Probation, Bernard Kerik, leisurely doing lunch with his friend, free pro-bono attorney, man crush, FisherBroyles LLP attorney (and we use that "attorney" term very loosely), Timothy Parlatore.

We suppose being a felon on probation who owes the United States over $180,000 in criminal restitution (USA v Bernard Kerik) and over $350,000 Federal IRS tax lien, would have something better to do on a weekday than wander around Maryland like a tourist. Just our opinion...Being a felon on United States Federal Supervised Release is nice....no job, just leisurely travel, nice buffet lunch, applause, glad-handed by Maryland State House Reps and movie fantasies... Now that's punishment we all could use!
